The MBA provides an opportunity for its members to generate funds and raise the profile of their band. Participants stand in pairs at entrances to high traffic locations (grocery stores, malls, etc.) soliciting donations for their program.

Participating groups receive up to 80% of what they collect. In 2012 participants collected over $9,000.
