Holiday Tuba Festival

Sunday December 7, 2025
MBA's Holiday Tuba Festival (established 2002) provides an opportunity for tuba and euphonium players from across Manitoba to gather in December to perform a concert of carols on the Piano Nobile level of the Manitoba Centennial Concert Hall for Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (WSO) patrons.

2025 Schedule:

  • 11:15 - 11:45am - Registration & Warm-up in the Sound Bytes room on the lower level concourse

  • 11:45 - 12:45pm - Rehearsal on Piano Nobile

  • 12:45 - 1:00pm - Break

  • 1:05 - 1:45pm - Performance

  • 1:45 - 2:00pm - Performers & guests depart or stay for 2:00pm WSO Concert (ticket required)

 

Come dressed and decorated to your festive best for a chance to win one of two prizes from Long & McQuade music & the WSO.

Media Release Statement - Photographs/Videos & recordings of band members may be taken by the WSO, MBA, or the media during the event. Participation in this event is your permission for these items to be used at the concert, in promotional material, on-line and in the media.

Please Note: This Holiday Tuba Festival registration does not include tickets to the nearly sold-out WSO performance of How to Train Your Dragon in Concert that afternoon.

Guests of Holiday Tuba Festival Performers

Guests (parents, caregivers, siblings, etc…) coming to watch the Tuba Festival performance who DO NOT also have WSO concert tickets MUST arrive with participants, stay inside the lobby for the duration of this event (rehearsal, break, and performance), and then depart with participants afterwards. It will not be possible to leave and come back in, as this is a ticketed event and WSO concert tickets will be required for re-entry to Centennial Concert hall.
