Our gratitude to everyone who submitted an audition, those who assisted their students throughout the audition process, and the volunteer listening panel.

Honour Band Attendance Policy

Complete attendance at all rehearsals and the performance as listed below is mandatory for acceptance into the MBA Honour Bands. Please check your calendar before submitting your audition.

Participation fee

$110.00

Bursaries

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments is proudly supporting participants with bursaries so those who face barriers can participate in the Manitoba Band Association Honour Bands. Further details are included in the Honour Band Audition Form.

Rural Musicians

Participants whose principal residence is 200km or further from Winnipeg may choose to participate in the Sectional Rehearsal via Zoom. All other rehearsals and concert must be attended in person.

Travel subsidies are available for participants whose principal residence is 200km or further from Winnipeg.

Audition Information

Audition Prep Masterclasses

2:00pm - 3:00pm, Sunday, September 14, 2025 online via Zoom

Bass clarinets only: your session will run concurrently with the clarinets, and will extend until 3:30pm. The soprano clarinet session will end at 3:00pm.
